What Are Credits?

Eventio operates as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. Event Credits are prepaid service tokens used to access platform features. They are not a financial product, stored-value instrument, loyalty points, or redeemable currency - they exist solely as a unit of measure for platform actions within Eventio.

Event Credits are purchased in packages and stored in your credit balance. Each time you trigger a billable platform action, the corresponding credit cost is deducted from your balance. The rate is simple: 1 credit = ₦1 in platform value.

Credits are tied to specific platform actions - invites sent, cards generated, RSVPs processed, message blasts, and feature activations. You always see the credit cost before confirming an action.

Payment processing: All payments are handled by Paystack, a licensed payment service provider regulated in Nigeria. Eventio does not store your card details. Once Paystack confirms your payment, Eventio records the equivalent credit units to your account credit balance. The financial transaction is between you and Paystack; the credit units recorded on your account are a record of prepaid platform access.

Event Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. All purchases are final. Credits cannot be converted back to cash, transferred to another account, or carried over to a different organisation. If you believe a deduction occurred in error due to a confirmed platform fault, contact us within 7 days at hello@eventio.africa.

How Features Are Priced

Different features use different pricing models depending on how the cost scales. Here is how each type works:

Credits are tied to specific actions. You are only charged when a platform action is triggered - no subscriptions, no idle fees. Common credit-consuming actions include: invites sent, access cards generated, RSVPs processed, message blasts dispatched, and managed features activated.

Estimated vs. actual costs: Cost previews during event creation use your expected guest count. Features charged per confirmed guest (access cards, WhatsApp, etc.) use the actual live guest list count at the time of the action. Your final cost may differ from the initial estimate.

Service Modes

Eventio features are delivered in one of three service modes. The mode determines who performs the action and affects the credit rate:

For "Both Available" features, you choose at the point of use. Self-service is always cheaper; Eventio-managed includes the expertise of our team and is priced at approximately 2–2.5× the self-service rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. All Event Credit purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable. Credits are prepaid service tokens with no cash value and cannot be converted to money or transferred. If you think a deduction was made in error due to a platform bug, email us within 7 days and we will investigate.

Credits do not expire while your account remains active and in good standing. Eventio reserves the right to introduce expiry terms on future packages with at least 30 days' notice.

Cost estimates at event creation use your expected guest count. Features such as access cards, WhatsApp blasts, and SMS are charged based on your actual confirmed guest list at the time of action. If your guest list grows, your costs will be higher than estimated.

No. Credits are tied to the account that purchased them and cannot be transferred to another user or organisation.

Any unused Event Credits in your credit balance are forfeited upon account closure, as credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. We recommend using your credits before closing your account.

Eventio may update credit costs for features at any time. We will always notify you via the dashboard before changes take effect. Event Credits you have already purchased are not affected - only how they are spent going forward.

Self-service means you perform the action yourself through the dashboard - it's cheaper. Eventio-managed means our team handles the setup, execution, or delivery on your behalf. This is more expensive (roughly 2–2.5×) but includes Eventio's expertise and operational support.
